A. Berger Dove Pommel Sword and Scabbard,
America, 1810-1814.
Brass hilt with simple leaf decoration on the top of the quillon, counter-guard with languets featuring molded spread wing eagle and shield decoration, reverse 'P' knuckle bow connecting to a dove pommel with backstrap, carved bone grip; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and single wide fuller, three quarters of the blade blued with etched and gilded foliate, arms, eagle and shield and liberty cap decoration, etched and gilded at the top of the blade 'Warranted/A. BERGER'; black leather scabbard with brass mounts and suspension rings, throat mount with oval frog stud.
